Matt Rauzi
Matt Rauzi serves as the president and owner of Colorado’s Pro Gym in Aurora, CO, bringing over three decades of extensive experience in the health and fitness industry. As a highly accomplished strength and conditioning coach, Matt has devoted his career to training athletes at high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Currently, he leads strength and conditioning programs at Evergreen High School and has contributed his expertise to collegiate softball teams at Pratt Community College, Colby Community College, Metro State University, and Colorado Christian University. Matt’s unwavering commitment to athletics and athlete development is reflected in his ability to deliver transformative coaching that emphasizes maximizing potential and enhancing performance.
Throughout his distinguished career, Matt has earned numerous accolades for his outstanding contributions to athletic training and conditioning. He is well-regarded for designing effective training programs and demonstrating strong leadership in both team and individual athlete development. His innovative approach has played a significant role in the success and advancement of the athletes and organizations he supports. Matt’s fundamental philosophy centers on building a solid foundation through correct form and carefully progressing exercise regimens. As a business owner, he has successfully operated his own gym for the past 20 years and has also served in the public sector, holding all board positions with the Havana Business Improvement District (BID).
Outside of his professional life, Matt is passionate about coaching competitive softball and playing golf. He enjoys teaching the fundamentals of softball and is dedicated to helping young athletes develop valuable life skills through sports. His commitment to athlete mentorship and development extends beyond the gym, reflecting his holistic approach to personal and athletic growth.
Matt Rauzi’s educational background includes attending The University of Wyoming, where he earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. During his time at university, he excelled academically and played Baseball, further fueling his passion for the health and fitness industry.
After completing his education, Matt began his professional journey at Bally’s Total Fitness, taking on various roles in the company ending with a management position before venturing on his own to start his own personal training company Exertec and Athletes First. His dedication and forward-thinking approach led to a series of promotions, culminating in notable leadership roles. After completing his education, Matt started his career at Bally’s Total Fitness, progressing to management before founding Exertec and Athletes First.
